Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Commission for
Universities (TCU) , has submitted to respective learning institutions
names of candidates for verification before they are released by the end
of this month.
TCU spokesperson, Mr Edward Mkaku, told The
Citizen that the names would be verified by the councils of each
learning institution before being sent back to the commission by the
25th of this month.
It was earlier reported that a total of 39,140
candidates had applied to join higher learning institutions in different
programmes this year, but TCU confirmed that over 8,000 applicants will
miss out. “After receiving the names... We will call a joint selection
meeting,” he said.
