Hundreds of people march to a protest rally at the Philippine financial
district in suburban Manila on October 4, 2013, carrying a huge golden
pig to condemn politicians for their misuse of their "pork barrel"
funds, referring to money allocated to congressmen and other officials
supposedly for their pet development projects but which often are
siphoned away for corruption. This is the third such rally against the
pork barrel issue organised partly through social media since August.
