Former Kampala socialite Shanita Namuyimba, aka Bad
Black, who is wanted over jumping court bail in Uganda, has been
arrested by police in Rwanda.
The arrest follows a warrant by Uganda Police that was sent to Interpol to help the force hunt for her.
Interpol Director Asan Kasingye confirmed the
arrest of Ms Black, saying they sent a request to their counterparts in
Rwanda to extradite her to Uganda to face the law.
Ms Black is accused of embezzling about $4.4
million (Sh11 billion) from Daveshan Development Company Ltd, a real
estate company, where she was a co-director and owned by her English
fiancé Mr David Greenhalgh.
